Heat your oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a light spray of cooking oil.
Dice your onion, then heat a medium skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, onion, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned and the onion is softened. Drain any excess grease, and set the mixture aside to cool slightly.
Open your crescent dough sheet and gently unroll it onto a large cutting board. If you’re using crescent rolls, press the seams together to make a single sheet of dough.
Evenly sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese across the dough. Then, add the bacon pieces and the beef mixture on top, spreading everything out for full flavor in every bite.
Starting from one end, tightly roll the dough into a log. Once rolled, use a sharp knife to slice it into 12 even pinwheels.
Place the pinwheels flat on your prepared baking sheet and pop them in the oven. Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
Serve these beauties with ketchup, burger sauce, or even a creamy ranch dip. Watch them disappear in no time!
