Ingredients

  • 2 cup pretzel twists
  • ½ cup red candy melts
  • ¼ cup white fondant
  • Green food coloring

Instructions

  • Start by lining your work surface with a sheet of parchment paper.
  • Color the white fondant with green food coloring — wearing gloves is a good idea to keep your hands from getting stained.
  • Take a small piece of the fondant and shape it into a little triangular leaf. Set it aside until you’re ready to assemble. Make one leaf for each apple pretzel.
  • When you’re ready, melt the red candy melts.
  • Dip each pretzel completely into the melted candy, making sure it’s fully coated. Use a fork to lift the pretzel out, tapping off any extra candy on the side of the bowl.
  • Place the coated pretzel onto the parchment, then quickly press a fondant leaf on top. Repeat with the rest of the pretzels.
  • Let them sit for about 10 minutes until the candy hardens.
