Classic Tuna Melt Sandwich

This tuna melt sandwich is a warm and cheesy twist on the classic tuna salad sandwich. Made with tuna, mayo, Dijon mustard, celery, onion, pickles, and melty cheddar cheese, it’s broiled until golden and bubbly for the perfect quick lunch or light dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of tuna drained (5 oz)
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp chopped celery
  • 2 tbsp red onion finely chopped
  • 3 small kosher dill pickles chopped
  • 4 slices of bread
  • 2 slices of cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix tuna, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, celery, onion, pickles, and season with salt and pepper.
  • Spread the tuna mixture evenly on 2 slices of bread.
  • Top each with a slice of cheddar cheese.
  • Place on a baking sheet and broil on low until the cheese is melted and bubbly (about 2–3 minutes).
  • Remove from the oven, slice in half, and enjoy.
