Ingredients

  • 3 Granny Smith apples
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • A pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 4 tbsp brown sugar
  • 12 oz pound cake , cubed
  • 8 oz Cool Whip
  • 6 tbsp caramel sauce

Instructions

  • Start by peeling and dicing your apples. Throw them into a medium saucepan with the lemon juice, nutmeg, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
  • Let that all simmer together for about 10 minutes until the apples soften. Let this cool before assembling.
  • Cut your pound cake into bite-sized cubes. If you want you can pipe the Cool Whip using a piping bag, or just use a spoon.
  • In a glass or small jar, layer it up like this: Pound cake cubes - A scoop of warm spiced apples - A drizzle of caramel sauce - A swirl of Cool Whip. Then repeat the layers and finish with a little extra caramel drizzle on top.
