Smash Burger Tacos

These Smash Burger Tacos are an easy and tasty weeknight meal. Juicy beef patties cook right on soft tortillas, topped with melty cheese, a creamy sauce, and fresh lettuce and onions. Great for family dinners!

Ingredients

For the Smash Burgers

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Cooking oil for frying

For the Sauce

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup dill pickle relish
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder

Toppings

  • 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
  • ¼ cup chopped onions

Instructions

  • Season the ground beef with salt and pepper. Divide into 8 equal balls.
  • Press each beef ball flat onto a tortilla using your fingers.
  • Heat a skillet with a little oil. Place the tortilla in the pan, meat side down. Press with a spatula and cook for 1.5–2 minutes.
  • Flip it over, sprinkle on mozzarella, cover, and cook another 1.5–2 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  • In a small bowl, mix mayo, relish, mustard, vinegar, and spices. Stir until smooth.
  • Add shredded lettuce and chopped onions on top of the burger, drizzle with sauce, and fold like a taco.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!
