Important Recipe Notes
- Prep ahead to save time. Slice all your veggies and cheese in advance. You can even pre-roll the deli meats and store them in an airtight container until you’re ready to assemble.
- Use mini breads. Mini croissants and sliced French bread make it easy for guests to build their own small sandwiches without committing to a full-sized one.
- Offer variety. A mix of meats, cheeses, and toppings makes this board customizable for different tastes—great for picky eaters!
- Small ramekins or bowls for mayo and mustard keep the board neat and easy to navigate.
- Layer and overlap. Slightly overlapping ingredients (like cheeses or tomato slices) makes the board feel full and visually appealing.
- Serve fresh. For best texture and flavor, assemble the board just before serving.
- Leftovers can be stored in airtight containers in the fridge for 1–2 days. Keep condiments separate to avoid soggy bread.
