Cheddar Bacon Carrot Cheeseball

This Carrot Cheeseball is one of my favorite Easter appetizers to make for a holiday brunch or family gathering. It’s creamy, cheesy, shaped like a carrot, and coated in bright cheddar cheese.

Made with cream cheese, ranch seasoning, cheese, bacon, and parsley. Serve it with crackers, fresh veggies, or even pita chips.

I love serving it with Bunny Cinnamon Rolls and Easter Egg Charcuterie Board.

How to Make Carrot Cheeseball

Ingredients you’ll need for this recipe
  • 2 – 8 oz packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 oz ranch seasoning mix
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, finely shredded
  • ½ cup bacon pieces
  • Curly parsley (for carrot greens)

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Start by combining the softened cream cheese, ranch seasoning, 1 cup of shredded cheddar, and the crispy bacon pieces in a large bowl. Mix it all together until everything is well combined.

2. Once everything is blended together, cover the bowl and pop it in the fridge for about 30 minutes.

3. After 30 minutes, take your cheeseball mixture out of the fridge. Place some parchment paper on a flat surface, and gently form the mixture into a carrot shape.

4. Once your carrot is formed, roll it in the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheddar.

5. Now, grab your curly parsley and arrange it at the top of your carrot on the serving tray or platter. This is going to be your “carrot greens” and adds the perfect finishing touch.

Serve and Enjoy!

Set your beautiful carrot cheeseball on the table and serve it up with crackers, veggies, or anything else that makes for great dipping.

Important Recipe Notes

  • Refrigerate the mixture for at least 30 minutes to make it easier to form into a carrot shape.
  • Use finely shredded cheddar for a smooth, even coating.
  • Cook and crumble bacon ahead of time for convenience.
  • Keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3–4 days.
