Step-by-Step Guide

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet or 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.

2. Heat a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into small crumbles as it cooks. Drain any excess grease.

3. Stir the Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper into the beef until well combined. Remove from the heat.

4. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese and ¾ of the ranch seasoning mix.

5. Slice the slider buns in half, keeping the tops and bottoms together if possible. Place the bottom half of the buns on the prepared baking sheet.

6. Spread the seasoned ground beef evenly over the buns. Add the diced jalapeños, crumbled bacon, and sliced red onion.

7. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the top, then place the top buns back on.

8. Melt the butter in a small bowl. Stir in the remaining ranch seasoning and chopped parsley. Brush the butter mixture generously over the tops of the buns.

9. Cover loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for 5 to 8 minutes, or until the buns are golden brown and the filling is hot and melty.

10. Let the sliders cool for 2 to 3 minutes before slicing and serving.

Important Recipe Notes

  • Soften the cream cheese first. This makes it much easier to mix with the cheddar and ranch seasoning until smooth and creamy.
  • Drain the beef well. Removing excess grease keeps the sliders from becoming soggy.
  • Adjust the jalapeño heat to your liking. Remove the seeds and membranes for a milder flavor, or leave some in if you like your sliders spicy.
  • Don’t skip the foil. Covering the sliders for the first part of baking helps keep the buns soft while the filling gets hot and melty.
  • Watch the sliders closely when broiling. The tops can go from golden to burnt very quickly, so 1–2 minutes is usually plenty.
  • Let them rest for a few minutes before cutting. This gives the cheesy filling a chance to settle and makes the sliders easier to serve.
  • For the best texture, serve them warm. These sliders are at their best when the cheese is creamy and melted and the buns are fresh and buttery.
