Important Recipe Notes

  • Use ripe but firm avocados so they hold their shape when mixed. Overripe ones can turn mushy.
  • Add the avocado last to keep it from browning while you prep everything else.
  • If you don’t have English Cucumbers, regular cucumbers work too—just peel and remove the seeds if needed.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste—a little extra lemon or salt can brighten up the whole salad.
  • To make ahead, you can prep everything except the avocado ahead of time. Just slice and add the avocado right before serving to keep it from browning.
  • Serve fresh for the best texture and flavor.
