How to Make Chocolate-Dipped Green Apples

Ingredients you’ll need for this recipe
  • Apples
  • Lollipop sticks or wooden craft sticks
  • Melting Chocolate
  • Chopped Peanuts and/or M&M’S

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Start by inserting your lollipop sticks or wooden craft sticks into the core of each apple, right at the stem.

2. Place your chopped peanuts and M&M’s (or whatever toppings you fancy) in separate bowls.

3. Place your chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and heat it in 30-second bursts, stirring in between.

4. Hold your apple by the stick and submerge it into the melted chocolate, twirling it around to coat it completely.

5. Once your apple is fully dipped! Dip or roll your apple in the peanuts or M&M’s. You can even press some toppings onto the chocolate for an extra pop of flavor.

6. Place your chocolate-covered apples onto a sheet of waxed paper and allow them to set at room temperature until the chocolate firms up.

Serve and Enjoy!

Important Recipe Notes

  • Use firm, crisp green apples like Granny Smith for the best tart and crunchy contrast with the chocolate.
  • Make sure your chocolate is melted slowly and stirred well to avoid burning or clumping.
  • If you don’t have lollipop sticks, wooden craft sticks or even sturdy skewers work great.
  • Work quickly when dipping and adding toppings, as the chocolate sets fast at room temperature.
  • Place dipped apples on wax paper or parchment to prevent sticking.
  • For faster setting, chill the apples in the fridge after dipping.
  • Feel free to customize toppings—try crushed nuts, sprinkles, or mini chocolate chips for variety.
  • These are best enjoyed the same day but can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days.
