All you need to do is grab some Rice Krispy treats, shape them into little rectangles, and draw ruler lines on one side. That’s it!

How to Make Ruler Rice Krispies

Ingredients you’ll need for this recipe
  • 20 premade Rice Krispy Treats
  • ¼ cup black candy melts

Step by Step Guide

1. Unwrap each Rice Krispy treat and gently press it into a more rectangular shape. Use a bench scraper or the edge of a spatula to help keep the sides straight and neat.

2. Melt the black candy melts, then pour them into a piping bag.

3. Snip a small hole at the tip of the bag and pipe ruler-style tick marks along one long edge of each treat. Vary the lengths of the lines to mimic a real ruler.

4. Let them sit for about 10 minutes, or until the candy melts are fully set.

Important Recipe Notes

  • Use store-bought Rice Krispy treats to save time, but homemade ones will work too—just make sure they’re firm enough to hold their shape.
