Ingredients you’ll need for this recipe

Step-by-Step Guide
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish and set aside.
2. Dice the onion.

3. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and diced onion over medium heat. Season with salt and pepper, breaking up the meat as it cooks, until it’s no longer pink. Drain any grease.

4. While the meat cooks, cut the biscuits into quarters and toss them in a bowl with 1 cup of the shredded cheese.

5. Stir the sloppy joe sauce into the cooked beef mixture. Then gently fold in the cheesy biscuit pieces.

6. Pour everything into the prepared casserole dish and spread it out evenly. Top with the remaining 1 cup of cheese.

7. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the biscuits are cooked through and the top is golden and bubbly.
Serve & Enjoy!

Important Recipe Notes
- After cooking the ground beef, make sure to drain any excess grease so the casserole doesn’t turn out oily.
- When folding the biscuit pieces into the meat mixture, mix gently so the biscuits stay fluffy.
- Check for doneness: Ovens can vary, so make sure the biscuits in the center are fully cooked before serving. If needed, bake an extra 5–10 minutes.
- If you don’t have cheddar cheese, you can use Colby Jack or a cheese blend.
- Let it rest before serving: Give the casserole about 5 minutes to cool slightly so it sets up and is easier to serve.
