3. Strain the sweet potatoes and transfer them to the bowl of a stand mixer. Mix on low for about 2 minutes until mashed, scraping down the sides often.

4. While the potatoes are still warm, add the butter and mix well.

5. Add milk, brown sugar, egg, vanilla, cinnamon, allspice, salt, and nutmeg. Mix thoroughly, scraping down the sides as needed.

6. Transfer the sweet potato mixture to the prepared casserole dish and bake for 40 minutes.

7. Remove from the oven and sprinkle the mini marshmallows over the top, spreading them into an even layer.

8. Bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the marshmallows are slightly toasted and starting to melt. Let the casserole cool slightly before serving.

Serve and Enjoy!

Important Recipe Notes
- Make sure your sweet potatoes are fully tender before mashing for a smooth, creamy texture.
- Add the butter while the sweet potatoes are still warm to help it blend easily.
- Keep an eye on the marshmallows while baking—they toast quickly and can burn if left too long.
- You can prepare the sweet potato mixture ahead of time and refrigerate until ready to bake.
