Important Recipe Notes
- Pre-cook the bacon: Make sure the bacon is cooked before adding it to the quesadillas. This helps save time and keeps the filling from becoming greasy.
- Stir the eggs over medium heat until fluffy and just cooked. Avoid overcooking them since they will be warmed again in the air fryer.
- Don’t overfill the tortillas: Spread the eggs, bacon, and cheese evenly to make the quesadillas easier to flip and keep together.
- Leave about ½ inch around the edges when adding the filling to help prevent the cheese from spilling out.
- Spray the tortillas with oil: A light coating of cooking spray helps the tortillas turn golden and crispy in the air fryer.
- Use a wide spatula when flipping to keep the filling inside.
- Air fryers can cook differently, so check the quesadillas and add a minute or two if they need more time.
- Allow the quesadillas to cool for a minute before cutting them into sections. This helps the melted cheese hold the filling together.
