Important Recipe Notes

  • Use refrigerated cinnamon rolls with the icing included, since you’ll drizzle the icing over the casserole after baking.
  • Fresh blueberries work best, but frozen blueberries can also be used. If using frozen berries, add them straight from the freezer without thawing.
  • Don’t overbake the casserole. Remove it from the oven once the cinnamon rolls are golden brown and the center is fully cooked.
  • Let the casserole cool for 5 to 10 minutes before adding the icing. This helps the icing stay on top instead of melting completely.
  • For extra flavor, sprinkle a little coarse sugar or add a few chopped pecans before baking.
  • This casserole tastes best served warm while the cinnamon rolls are soft and fluffy.
  • Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat individual servings in the microwave for 20 to 30 seconds before serving.
  • A scoop of whipped cream or a dusting of powdered sugar makes a simple finishing touch for brunch or holiday breakfasts.
