Important Recipe Notes

  • Choose mushrooms that are similar in size so they bake evenly.
  • Wipe the mushrooms clean with a damp paper towel instead of rinsing them under water to keep them from becoming soggy.
  • Make sure the cream cheese is softened before mixing so the filling becomes smooth and easy to combine.
  • Drain the canned crab meat well to prevent the filling from becoming watery.
  • Don’t overfill the mushrooms, as the filling can spill over while baking.
  • Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese on top just before baking for a golden, cheesy crust.
  • Bake until the mushrooms are tender and the tops are lightly browned.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley right before serving for the best flavor and a pop of color.
  • These stuffed mushrooms are best served warm, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in the oven or air fryer for the best texture instead of using the microwave.
