How to Make Buffalo Chicken Stuffed Celery

Ingredients you’ll need for this recipe
  • 6 celery sticks (cut into thirds to make 18 pieces)
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, chopped small
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. onion powder
  • 2 oz. cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup Frank’s hot sauce
  • 3 tbsp. butter

OPTIONAL TOPPINGS
  • Ranch dressing
  • Feta cheese crumbles
  • Extra hot sauce
  • Sliced green onions

Step by Step Guide

1. First things first—cut your celery stalks into thirds and set them aside.

2. In a big bowl, mash together the chicken and cream cheese with a fork. It doesn’t need to be perfect—just mixed and creamy.

3. In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter in 30-second increments. Stir in the hot sauce.

4. Pour that spicy buttery goodness over the chicken mixture. Add the garlic and onion powders, and stir until everything is well coated.

5. Now spoon that delicious filling into the celery “boats.”

Serve and Enjoy!

Top with whatever you love—ranch, feta, hot sauce, green onions… or all of the above!

And there you have it! These Buffalo Chicken Celery Sticks are the kind of snack that is a crowd favorite—so I always double the batch if I’m feeding a crowd. Crunchy, creamy, spicy… they’re everything you want in a finger food!

Important Recipe Notes:

  • Make-ahead friendly: You can prep the buffalo chicken filling a day in advance. Just store it in the fridge and stuff the celery sticks when you’re ready to serve.
  • Leftover chicken works great: Rotisserie chicken or even leftover grilled chicken is perfect here—just chop it up nice and small.
  • Serving tip: These are best served cold or room temp—no reheating required!
  • Kid-friendly version: Skip the hot sauce and use ranch or cream cheese seasoning instead for a milder snack.
