Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Soy Spareribs
Slow cooker recipes are always my go-to for busy weeknights, and this Tender Honey Garlic Soy Spareribs recipe is one of those set-it-and-forget-it meals. Tender, juicy ribs coated in a sticky, flavorful sauce that’s perfect for dinner.

WANT TO SAVE THIS FOR LATER?
I didn’t always think ribs were “easy” dinner material, but this crockpot dinner recipe changed that. I love that it only needs a few basic pantry staples like soy sauce, garlic, and honey. It’s now one of our family’s favorite comfort food meals.

How to Make Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Soy Spareribs
Ingredients you’ll need for this recipe

Step by Step Guide
1. In a small bowl, mix the onion powder, paprika, and cumin. Rub it all over the ribs.

2. Mince the garlic and stir it together with the dark soy sauce, sweet soy sauce, and honey until smooth. Brush it generously over the ribs, but save some for later!

3. Cut the ribs in half so they fit more easily, then place them in the slow cooker.

4. Cook on low for 7–8 hours or high for 4–5 hours—until the meat is melt-in-your-mouth tender.
5. Brush the ribs with the reserved marinade every hour or so if you can.
Serve and Enjoy!
These ribs go so well with a side of fluffy rice, mashed potatoes, or even roasted veggies. If you want, throw in some buttery corn on the cob and a quick coleslaw.

Important Recipe Notes
- This recipe works best with baby back ribs since they’re tender and cook evenly in the slow cooker.
- If you don’t have sweet soy sauce and dark soy sauce, regular soy sauce with a little extra honey can work in a pinch.
- Save a bit of the marinade to brush over the ribs while they cook—it helps build that irresistible sticky glaze.
- Cooking the ribs on low for 7–8 hours gives you that melt-in-your-mouth texture. High works too, but low is magic.
- For a caramelized finish, put the cooked ribs under the broiler for 2–3 minutes before serving.
- If you have leftovers, you can reheat the ribs and make great sliders the next day.
