Made with melted blue candy, crunchy mini cookies, and fun candy eyes. And if you are making this for kids’ parties, it is a perfect party snack to serve with pretzels and cupcakes.

How to Make Cookie Monster Bark?

Ingredients you’ll need for this recipe
  • 12 oz bag of blue candy melts (I used Sweet Tooth Fairy; your favorite brand will work too!)
  • 7 mini Oreos
  • 12 mini Chips Ahoy chocolate chip cookies
  • 14 candy eye sprinkles

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Start by placing your blue candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat them at 50 percent power for 1 minute. Stir, then continue heating in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely melted. Different brands have different melting times, so make sure to check the back of the bag for specifics.

2. Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper. Pour the melted blue candy onto the parchment and spread it out evenly with a small spatula or the back of a spoon.

3. Place the candy eye sprinkles in pairs across the blue candy base. Next, break the mini Oreos in half and arrange them under the candy eyes to create mouths.

4. Scatter the mini Chips Ahoy cookies all over the bark.

5. Allow the bark to set for about 30 minutes or until completely hardened. Once it’s firm, break it into pieces.

Serve & Enjoy!

Important Recipe Notes

  • Melt candy carefully. Heat the blue candy melts at 50% power and stir often to avoid burning or clumping.
  • Work quickly. Spread the melted candy and add decorations before it starts to harden.
  • Pair candy eyes correctly. Place them in pairs for the “eyes” to get that classic Cookie Monster look.
  • Break Oreos in half. This makes the little “mouths” fit nicely under the candy eyes.
  • Let bark fully set. Wait about 30 minutes or until completely hardened before breaking into pieces.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3–4 days.
  • You can add sprinkles, mini candies, or extra cookies to make it your own.
