WANT TO SAVE THIS FOR LATER?
I love bringing it out during the holiday season when family and friends gather around the table. It’s a crowd-pleasing Christmas appetizer and it instantly becomes the centerpiece of the snack table.
It pairs really well with warm dips or finger foods like cranberry brie bites or reindeer cheeseball, especially when you want to round out your holiday snack board with more easy party favorites.
How to Make a Charcuterie Christmas Tree
Ingredients you’ll need for this recipe

Step-by-Step Guide
1. Wrap the floral craft cone in plastic wrap.

2. Start by adding a line of cheese cubes around the cone.

3. For the salami, fold in half, and roll, then skewer with a toothpick to add to the cone. Add a line of these beside the cheese.

4. Continue adding lines of the other various ingredients around until the cone is covered.
5. Add small pieces of rosemary sprigs for more of a tree effect.

6. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Serve & Enjoy!

Important Recipe Notes
- Use firm ingredients for best structure. Choose firm cheeses like cheddar, gouda, or Monterey Jack so the cubes hold their shape well on the cone.
- Dry your ingredients well. Make sure grapes, cucumbers, and cherry tomatoes are fully dried before assembling so they don’t slide or make the tree soggy.
- Press the toothpicks firmly into the cone so the salami and cheese stay in place and don’t shift when you move or serve it.
- Start from the bottom and work up. This helps keep the tree balanced and prevents heavier ingredients from falling while you assemble.
- Mix colors for a prettier look. Alternate green (grapes, cucumbers), red (tomatoes, salami), and white/yellow (cheese) for that classic festive Christmas tree vibe.
- Keep it chilled until serving. Refrigerate the assembled charcuterie tree so it stays fresh and firm, especially if you’re preparing it ahead of time.
- Add rosemary last. Tuck in the rosemary sprigs at the end so they look fresh and give that realistic “tree branch” effect.
- Serve on a stable base. Place the cone on a sturdy plate or stand so it doesn’t tip over when guests start picking pieces off.
