Ingredients you’ll need for the spinach dip
Ingredients you’ll need for the Christmas tree

Step by Step Guide
1. In a medium bowl, mix together the spinach, cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until fully combined.

2. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out one puff pastry sheet into a large triangle and place it on the prepared baking sheet.

4. Spread the spinach dip evenly over the triangle.

5. Roll out the second puff pastry sheet, cut it into another large triangle, and lay it on top. Trim to match the bottom layer.

6. Using a sharp knife, cut horizontal slits on each side, leaving the center intact for the “trunk.” Twist each strip a few times to create spiraled “branches.”

7. In a small bowl, stir together the melted butter and garlic powder, then brush over the pastry.

8. Bake for 30–35 minutes, until golden brown and puffed. Let cool for about 5 minutes.
Serve and Enjoy!

Important Recipe Notes
- Thaw puff pastry properly – Let it thaw in the fridge for a few hours or at room temperature for about 30–40 minutes. Cold puff pastry is easier to work with than fully warm dough.
- Dry your spinach well – If using frozen spinach, thaw completely and squeeze out as much liquid as possible to avoid a soggy pastry.
- When making the branch slits, leave at least 1 inch in the center intact to hold the tree together.
- Gently twist each branch 2–3 times for the best “tree” look without tearing the pastry.
- Sprinkle a little extra mozzarella or Parmesan on top before baking for a more golden, cheesy finish.
- You can assemble the tree up to 6 hours in advance, keep it in the fridge, then bake just before serving.
- Serve with crackers, sliced baguette, or fresh veggies for dipping.
- Best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven to crisp it up again.
