How to Make a Christmas Pineapple Tree Fruit Tray
Ingredients you’ll need for this recipe

Step-by-Step Guide
1. Create the Christmas Tree Centerpiece. Start by cutting off the top of the pineapple (the leafy part), rinsing it, and patting it dry. If you notice any damaged leaves, simply trim them off with scissors.
2. Peel the pineapple and cut off one thick circle of the fruit. Using a cookie cutter, shape the pineapple slice into a star.
3. Remove the core of the pineapple and cut the rest into bite-sized chunks.

4. Prepare the fruit by cutting the bananas into bite-sized pieces, peeling and halving the kiwis, slicing the apples, and sprinkling them with lemon juice to prevent browning. Peel and separate the mandarins, quarter the plums, and serve the grapes and calamansi whole.

5. Assemble Your Fruit Tray. Place your pineapple top (Christmas tree) in the center of a large serving plate.
6. Use a toothpick to secure your pineapple star at the top of the tree.

7. Around the tree, arrange your fruits and berries in a way that’s pleasing to the eye. You can mix and match colors or keep it more organized by grouping similar fruits together.
8. Decorate with fresh mint leaves for an extra pop of green and dust the whole tray with a light sprinkle of powdered sugar.

Serve and Enjoy!

Important Recipe Notes
- Rinse and dry the pineapple leaves well so they look fresh and clean as the “tree.” Trim off any damaged leaves with scissors.
- Use a sturdy cookie cutter to cut the star shape. If the pineapple slice is too soft, chill it for a few minutes before cutting.
- Toss apple slices (and even banana pieces) with a little lemon juice to keep them from browning too quickly.
- Use toothpicks to help secure fruits that tend to roll around, like grapes or mandarins, so they stay in place on the tray.
- You can prep the fruit a few hours in advance, but assemble the tray right before serving so it stays fresh and bright.
