Step-by-Step Guide

1. In a mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter and semi-sweet chocolate. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

2. Add the shredded wheat cereal to the melted chocolate mixture. Gently fold until every piece is thoroughly coated.

3. Line your cupcake pan with cupcake liners. Spoon a heaping tablespoon of the chocolate-wheat mixture into each liner. Using the back of the spoon, press down the mixture to create a well in the center, forming a nest shape.

4. Place the cupcake pan in the freezer for about 15 minutes, allowing the nests to firm up.

5. While the nests harden, add a few drops of green food dye to a resealable plastic bag. Toss in the shredded coconut, seal the bag, and shake until the coconut turns a vibrant green. This will be the “grass” for your nests.

6. Once the chocolate nests are firm, remove them from the cupcake liners. Sprinkle a little of the green coconut “grass” into each nest.

7. Finish by placing three mini Cadbury eggs (or your candy of choice) on top.

Serve and Enjoy!

Important Recipe Notes

  • If you don’t like peanut butter, swap it out for almond butter, sunflower seed butter, or even Nutella for a hazelnut twist.
  • Use any crunchy cereal if you don’t have shredded wheat.
  • Mini candy eggs can be swapped for jelly beans or chocolate chips.
  • For extra green “grass,” add more colored coconut on top.
