This recipe is great for fall gatherings, family movie nights, weekend treats, or even as a sweet side dish during holidays like Thanksgiving or Christmas.
I love serving them with Candied Bacon Twists for Brunch, but it is great with a fresh fruit dessert too, like Mini Strawberry Pies.
How to Make S’mores Stuffed Sweet Potatoes
Ingredients you’ll need for this recipe

Step-by-Step Guide
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Use a fork to poke several holes in each sweet potato. Rub the skins evenly with oil and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

3. Bake for 1 hour, or until the sweet potatoes are very tender when pierced with a fork.

4. Carefully slice each sweet potato lengthwise. Gently mash the inside with a fork, keeping the skins intact. Add ½ tablespoon butter to each potato and mash slightly more until the butter melts.

5. Sprinkle chopped chocolate evenly over the mashed sweet potatoes, then top each with 2–3 marshmallows.

6. Switch the oven to broil and return the baking sheet to the oven for 30 seconds to 1 minute, watching closely, until the marshmallows are lightly toasted.

7. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with crushed graham crackers.

Serve & Enjoy!

Important Recipe Notes
- Choose similar-sized sweet potatoes. This helps them cook evenly in the oven so they are all soft and tender at the same time.
- The sweet potatoes should be easy to pierce with a fork. If they still feel firm, bake them for an extra 5–10 minutes.
- Watch the marshmallows closely when broiling. Marshmallows toast very quickly and can burn fast. Stay near the oven and remove them once they are lightly golden.
- These stuffed sweet potatoes taste best warm, while the chocolate is melted and the marshmallows are soft.
- For toppings, you can add mini chocolate chips, crushed chocolate cookies, peanut butter drizzle, or caramel.
- If you have leftovers, store them in the refrigerator and reheat in the oven or microwave until warm and melty again.
