Important Recipe Notes
- Spread tater tots in a single layer for even baking. Crowding the pan can make them less crispy.
- Keep an eye on the bacon while baking. Oven times may vary, and you don’t want it to burn.
- Warm queso until pourable but not boiling. You can also use your favorite cheese sauce as a substitute.
- Serve immediately while the tots are warm and crispy. Leftovers can be reheated, but they may lose some crispiness.
- You can change or add toppings like jalapeños, shredded cheese, or diced tomatoes to customize the recipe.
