  • 7 slices of microwave bacon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or foil. Set aside.

2. Microwave the bacon according to the package, crumble it into pieces, and set aside.

3. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Add the sweetened condensed milk and maple syrup, stirring to combine. Don’t bring it to a high boil—let it slowly thicken while stirring constantly. A few bubbles are okay, just make sure to scrape the bottom.

Important Recipe Notes

  • Use a candy thermometer: Heating the fudge to 237°F is key for it to set properly.
  • Once the fudge is ready, pour and flatten it into the pan right away for the best texture.
  • Remove excess grease from the bacon with a paper towel before adding it to the fudge.
  • Use parchment paper or foil with an overhang so you can lift the fudge out easily.
  • Keep the fudge in an airtight container in the fridge for 2–3 days.
