What I love about this recipe is how simple it is. It’s also a fun way to get the kids involved in the kitchen—they’ll love placing the pretzels, candy eyes, and M&Ms to create their own little reindeer.

How to Make Reindeer Chocolate Bark
Ingredients you’ll need for this recipe

Step-by-Step Guide
1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

2. Melt your milk chocolate chips in a double boiler (a heatproof bowl over simmering water) or use the microwave. If you go the microwave route, heat in 30-second bursts, stirring between each one until it’s nice and smooth.

3. Once your chocolate is melted, pour it onto the prepared baking sheet. Use a spatula to spread it out to about ¼ inch thick.

4. Now place 12 mini pretzels onto the chocolate to form the antlers. Just below each pretzel, add a red M&M for the nose.

5. Sprinkle the green M&M’s and optional sprinkles across the rest of the chocolate bark to make it extra festive.

6. Let the chocolate sit at room temperature until it’s completely set. If you’re in a hurry, pop the baking sheet into the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes.

7. Once the chocolate is firm, break it into pieces with your hands.

Serve and Enjoy!

Important Recipe Notes
- Melt your chocolate slowly and stir often to keep it smooth. You can use a microwave in 30-second bursts or a double boiler.
- Line it with parchment paper or a silicone mat to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
- Make sure to space out your reindeer so each one has room; this makes breaking the bark easier later.
- Press candies gently into the chocolate so they stick but don’t push too hard, or they may sink.
- Let the chocolate set at room temperature, or chill for 20–30 minutes if you’re impatient (we’ve all been there!).
- Keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days, or refrigerate if your home is warm.
