I usually make it ahead of time so it can chill in the fridge while I prepare other things. Serve them with cookies, pretzels, fresh fruits, and even a spread for waffles and cake bites.

Important Recipe Notes

  • Use softened cream cheese. This makes it easier to mix and ensures a smooth, creamy dip.
  • Mash the strawberries well. This releases their juice and gives the dip more flavor.
  • Mix whipped topping gently. Fold it in on low speed to keep the dip light and fluffy.
  • Chill before serving. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour so the flavors meld and the dip firms up.
  • Serve with sturdy dippers. Cookies, crackers, or fruit should hold up well to dipping without breaking.
  • You can prepare the dip a few hours in advance, but avoid adding cookies or crackers until right before serving to keep them crisp
