How to Make Christmas Rolo Pretzel Bites

Ingredients you’ll need for this recipe
  • 48 dark salted caramel Rolos (you can switch this up with milk chocolate Rolos too!)
  • 48 pretzel snaps (mini twists or waffle rounds work well too)
  • 48 red and green M&M’s
  • ¼ cup of holiday nonpareil sprinkles

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Preheat the oven to 250°F and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

2. Arrange the pretzels in a single layer on the tray. Pop one Rolo on top of each pretzel.

3. Bake for 2-3 minutes, just until the chocolate softens but doesn’t fully melt. If the Rolos are at room temperature, 2 minutes should do the trick. If they’ve been in the fridge, give them 3 minutes.

4. Decorate quickly! Remove the tray from the oven and press a red or green M&M into the top of each Rolo. Add a sprinkle of nonpareils to make them extra festive.

5. Let them cool and set. You can either leave them out at room temperature for about 20 minutes or pop them in the fridge for 10 minutes to speed up the process.

Serve and Enjoy!

Important Recipe Notes

  • Bake just until the Rolos soften, not fully melt, or the candy will lose its shape.
  • The M&Ms and sprinkles need to go on while the chocolate is soft, so have everything ready before baking.
  • Let the bites set at room temperature for about 20 minutes, or speed it up by placing them in the fridge for 10 minutes.
  • Variety ideas: Mini twists, pretzel snaps, or waffle rounds all work well. You can also swap milk chocolate or white chocolate Rolos for a different flavor.
  • Keep in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge for up to a week.
