How to Make Classic Italian Hoagie Sandwich
Ingredients you’ll need for this recipe

Step-by-Step Guide
1. Open the hoagie rolls and drizzle each side with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Sprinkle a little dried Italian seasoning on each roll.

2. Divide the ham slices evenly between the two rolls, followed by the salami.

3. Then the capicola. Place 2 slices of provolone cheese on each roll.

4. Layer the tomato slices on top of the cheese, followed by the red onion, pepperoncini, and shredded lettuce.

5. Drizzle 1/2 tablespoon of red wine vinegar over the vegetables on each roll. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.

6. Place the top half of each roll over the fillings and gently press down.
7. Cut each hoagie in half if desired and serve immediately, or wrap in parchment paper and refrigerate for flavors to meld.
Serve and Enjoy!

Important Recipe Notes
- Use fresh hoagie rolls if you can; they make a big difference in texture.
- Feel free to swap meats based on your family’s preference. Turkey or roast beef works well, too.
- If you like a little extra tang, add more red wine vinegar or a dash of mustard.
- Sandwiches can be made a couple of hours ahead and wrapped in parchment paper to let the flavors meld.
