How to Make Strawberry White Hot Chocolate Spoons

Ingredients you’ll need for this recipe
  • 11 oz Ghirardelli White Premium Baking Chips
  • 2 oz Freeze-Dried Strawberry Slices
  • 1/4 cup Kraft Jet-Puffed Bits Vanilla Marshmallows
  • 3 tablespoons Red & White Heart Edible Confetti (Michaels)

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Start by crushing up the freeze-dried strawberries and adding them to the bottom of your square molds.

2. In a double boiler, gently melt the white chocolate baking chips. Be sure to keep the heat low and stir until the chocolate is silky smooth.

3. Spoon the melted white chocolate over the strawberry bits in each mold. Then, pop in your red and wooden-colored spoons.

4. Before the chocolate sets, sprinkle mini marshmallow bits and heart confetti on top. If you want to be extra precise, food tweezers can help you place the hearts just right.

5. Place the filled molds in the fridge for about 10 minutes, or until the chocolate has hardened. Once set, remove the chocolate squares from the mold.

Serve and Enjoy!

Important Recipe Notes

  • Use quality white chocolate – It melts smoothly and gives a creamy, rich flavor. Avoid low-quality chips that can seize or taste waxy.
  • Crush strawberries finely – Small pieces mix better with the chocolate and release more flavor when stirred into hot milk.
  • After adding chocolate, pop the molds in the fridge for at least 10 minutes to ensure the spoons hold their shape.
  • Keep finished spoons in an airtight container in the fridge until gifting or serving. They can last up to 2 weeks if stored well.
  • You can switch sprinkles, add crushed candy canes, or drizzle melted chocolate on top for a decorative touch.
