Important Recipe Notes

  • Use premade sugar cookies or your favorite store-bought cookies to make this recipe quick and easy.
  • Mix the food coloring into the icing a little at a time until you reach your desired ocean-blue color.
  • Crush the graham crackers into fine crumbs so they look more like sand on the cookies.
  • Let the icing sit for a few minutes before serving so the decorations stay in place.
  • Add the graham cracker crumbs while the icing is still wet so they stick well.
  • Place the goldfish crackers and pearl sprinkles on the cookies right after icing to help them stay secure.
  • If making these for a party, decorate them a few hours ahead of time and store them in a single layer until ready to serve.
  • Store leftover cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
