Important Recipe Notes
- Make sure to melt the candy melts slowly in short 30-second intervals. Stir well each time so it doesn’t burn or get lumpy.
- If the candy coating gets too thick, you can add a tiny bit of coconut oil or shortening to make it smoother.
- Work quickly when decorating because the melted candy sets fast once spread on the pretzels.
- Cutting the M&Ms in half ahead of time helps you move faster when assembling each reindeer face.
- Use parchment or wax paper so the pretzels don’t stick while setting.
- If some pretzels break while dipping or decorating, just set them aside and use them for snacking or toppings.
- Let them fully set at room temperature for the best crunch—no need to refrigerate unless your kitchen is very warm.
- Store in an airtight container to keep them fresh and crunchy for up to 5–7 days.
