How to Make Caterpillar Fruit Kabobs
Ingredients you’ll need for this recipe
Ingredients you’ll need for the yogurt fruit dip (optional)

Step by Step Guide
1. Scoop melon balls from the watermelon and cantaloupe using a melon baller.

2. Thread the melon balls onto skewers, alternating colors to give your caterpillars that fun striped look.

3. Attach candy eyes to the front melon ball using a tiny dab of honey on the back of each eye.

4. Make the optional fruit dip by mixing yogurt, honey, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
Serve and Enjoy!
These are best chilled, especially if you’re prepping ahead for a party or playdate.

Important Recipe Notes
- Use firm, ripe melon for best results—soft or overripe melon can fall apart on the skewers.
- Use a melon baller to make scooping and shaping the fruit quick and easy.
- Go with shorter skewers (about 6″) to make them easier for little hands to hold and eat.
- Attach the candy eyes just before serving so they stay in place and don’t slide off.
- Keep the kabobs chilled until ready to serve—they’re extra refreshing when cold!
- If you’re making the yogurt dip, use plain yogurt so the honey and vanilla really shine through.
