How to Make Cheesy Ranch Chicken Wonton Cups

Ingredients you’ll need for this recipe
  • 12 wonton wrappers
  • 1 cup shredded chicken
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ⅔ cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded (setting aside 2 tbsp)
  • ½ cup bacon pieces (setting aside 2 tsp)
  • ⅓ cup sour cream
  • 1 oz packet ranch seasoning
  • Fresh parsley for garnish
  • Cooking spray

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

2. Spray the cavities of a muffin pan with cooking spray, and add a wonton wrapper to each cavity. Gently press down and to the sides to form a cup.

3. Bake for 8 minutes.

4. While that is baking, add the chicken, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, sour cream, bacon pieces, and ranch seasoning to a large bowl, and stir to combine.

5. Divide the mixture between the wonton cups, then sprinkle with the extra cheddar cheese and bacon pieces.

6. Bake for 7 minutes.

8. Chop the parsley while they are baking. Once finished baking, remove from the oven, and sprinkle with chopped parsley.

Serve and Enjoy!

Important Recipe Notes:

  • Spray your muffin tin lightly with cooking spray so the wonton cups pop out easily after baking.
  • Pre-bake the wonton wrappers for a few minutes before adding the filling — this helps them get nice and crispy!
  • Use rotisserie chicken to save time. It’s already cooked and super flavorful.
  • Don’t overfill the cups — a heaping tablespoon of filling is just right so they don’t overflow in the oven.
  • Shred your cheese fresh if you can! It melts better than the pre-shredded kind.
  • Serve them warm for the best flavor, but they’re still delicious at room temperature too.
  • Customize the filling by adding cooked bacon, chopped jalapeños, or even a little buffalo sauce if you want to spice things up!
