How to Make Football Cheeseball Dip
Ingredients you’ll need for this recipe
Step-by-Step Guide
1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter together until smooth and creamy. Then, add the brown sugar and vanilla extract and mix until everything is well combined.

2. Scoop the mixture onto a long piece of plastic wrap. Fold one end over and use it to help shape the mixture into a football shape!

3. Transfer your football to the fridge and let it chill for at least 4 hours (or overnight if you’re prepping ahead). This helps it firm up so it holds its shape.
4. Before serving, coat your football in miniature chocolate chips. I like to sprinkle a layer of chips on a large plate, place the cheeseball on top, then press more chips all around until it’s completely covered.

5. Take your white chocolate chips and arrange them on top to create football laces.

Serve and Enjoy!

Important Recipe Notes
- Make sure your cream cheese and butter are fully softened before mixing. This ensures a smooth, creamy texture for easy shaping.
- Allow the cheeseball to chill for at least 4 hours (or overnight) so it firms up and holds its football shape. Don’t skip this step!
- Use plastic wrap to shape the football—this keeps your hands clean and makes shaping much easier.
- Press the miniature chocolate chips gently but firmly so they stick all around the cheeseball for full coverage.
- This dip can be made a day ahead, making it perfect for busy game days.
- Pair with graham crackers, pretzels, vanilla wafers, or apple slices for easy dipping.
