Important Recipe Notes

  • Melt the almond bark and candy melts separately to keep the colors bright and make swirling easier.
  • Heat the candy melts in short 30-second intervals, stirring well between each round to prevent overheating and burning.
  • Work quickly once the candy is melted, as candy melts can begin to set fast.
  • Avoid overmixing the colors when swirling or the blue shades may blend together instead of creating a marbled effect.
  • Add the shark gummies and sprinkles immediately after swirling so they stick to the candy before it hardens.
  • For cleaner pieces, allow the bark to fully set before breaking it into chunks.
  • If your kitchen is warm, place the bark in the refrigerator to speed up the setting process.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week or in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
